Tax Bills
To Pay in Person
If paying in person, please bring your entire tax bill to receive a stamped paid receipt.
The Treasurer's Office accepts cash, check, and credit card payments. A 3% convenience fee applies to all credit card transactions.
The Township Hall is open Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
After Hours Drop Box
A secure payment drop box is located at the Township Hall for your convenience.
Receipts for payments placed in the drop box will be mailed upon request.
Payments deposited in the drop box after 5:00 p.m. will be processed on the next business day. However, payments placed in the drop box by 5:00 p.m. on the tax due date will be posted as received on time.
To Pay Taxes Online
There is a 3% convenience fee for property tax payments made by credit card, whether online or in person.
To pay online, scan the QR code printed on your tax bill or click "Pay Taxes Online" to search by property owner name, property address, or parcel number.
Online Payment Information
The system will:
(1) Tell you the total of your payment, including the appropriate fee
(2) Obtain approval for the charge
(3) Issue an onscreen confirmation number and a printable digital receipt. The charge will also appear on your credit card statement showing the tax amount paid on one line and the convenience fee amount on a separate line.
Information regarding individual parcels of property in Oceola Township is being made available electronically solely as a service. Though the township attempts to maintain this information and reviews its accuracy regularly, persons obtaining and using or attempting to obtain and use such information do so with the full knowledge and understanding that such information may not always be available, up to date, or correct.
Neither the Township nor its hosting agent makes any warranties, expressed or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, merchantable quality, and fitness for a particular purpose and those arising by statute, or otherwise in law, or from the course of dealing or usage of trade. Nor does the Township or its hosting agent represent or warrant that the program or the services will meet any or all of the user's requirements, that the program's operation will be error-free or uninterrupted and that all program errors in the software will be found and corrected.

2026 Summer Taxes
Tax bills are mailed out on June 30 2026. Taxes are payable beginning July 1, 2026, and are due without penalty no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026.
The Treasurer's Office will be open Monday, September 14, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for tax collection only.
Payments received after 5:00 p.m. on September 14, 2026, will be subject to 1% interest on the unpaid balance beginning September 15th, 2026, again on October 1, 2026, and on the first day of each month thereafter. Postmarks are not accepted.
2026 Winter Taxes
2026 Winter Property Tax Bills will be mailed on December 1, 2026.
Taxes are payable beginning December 1, 2026, and are due without penalty no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 15, 2027. (The statutory due date of February 14 falls on a Sunday.)
The Treasurer's Office will be open Monday, February 15, 2027, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for tax collection only.
On March 1, 2027, all unpaid 2026 Summer and Winter Property Taxes will be turned over as delinquent to the Livingston County Treasurer's Office for collection.
Partial Payments
Partial payments are accepted for current-year property taxes during the tax collection period.
Partial payments toward Summer Property Taxes may be made beginning July 1 through February 28. Partial payments toward Winter Property Taxes may be made beginning December 1 through February 28.

Notice
Failure to receive a property tax bill does not relieve the taxpayer of the responsibility to pay taxes on time or waive applicable interest and penalties.
The property owner is legally responsible for ensuring that taxes are paid on the correct parcel.
If a property tax bill is paid more than once, the first payment received will be applied to the parcel. Any duplicate or subsequent payments will be returned to the payer.
The Treasurer's Office is not responsible for payments made to an incorrect parcel.
