Oceola Outdoor Recreational Complex

Located at 1577 N. Latson Rd.

Soccer Fields

The Oceola Outdoor Recreational Complex is located directly behind our Township Hall. You’ll find tons of amenities to meet your outdoor needs. Our walking path follows along our entire township grounds area, stretching roughly one full mile long. It’s perfect for walking, running, bicycling, roller blading, and scootering. The path is also lined with stopping points that have garbage cans and dog waste bags, for your convenience. Our large open fields are the perfect place to practice soccer, football, frisbee, or take your pup out to play fetch and get some fresh air.

Playground

Our large playground is popular with the kids and is the perfect place for parents to stop and rest while little ones get their energy out. Equipped with six slides, monkey bars, four swings, a see-saw, and plenty of climbing obstacles; it makes for a great meet-up place for playdates. The rubber poured surface offers a solid foundation for kids to play on, with plenty of benches scattered around for seating.

Pavilion

Once you’re finished playing, head over to our large, covered pavilion that overlooks the upper soccer fields. With plenty of tables and seating, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a picnic lunch.

Please note: The Township does not salt or plow the park area or the walking path during the winter months. These areas may be icy and/or slippery. Play at your own risk.

Coming Soon!!

Oceola Township strives to bring our residents the best! With that being said, we are answering requests from families, and we are bringing a variety of new amenities to our Soccer Complex! Be on the lookout for updates about our upcoming additions:

  • Permanent outdoor bathrooms complete with changing tables and a water-bottle filling station.

  • A collaboration with Great Start Livingston County to bring a “Reading Trail” to our walking path. This will consist of numerous permanent signs and structures scattered throughout the walking path with book pages on each one. It will be a great opportunity for us to bring literacy and physical activity to families in Livingston County.

  • Free Little Libraries! We will be installing “Free Little Library” stations in at the entrance of the Oceola Community Center and at the park/pavilion area for residents to utilize whenever they’d like.
