Clerk’s Office

Jaime Clay

Township Clerk
clerk@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext 224

Jaime resides here in Oceola with her husband, Scott, and her two children. As a lifetime resident of Livingston County, she began serving as the Township Clerk in 2018. When she's not running elections, taking classes pertaining to elections or running the day to day operations of the township office, you can find her on her boat enjoying the sun or catching a movie at the local theater. Her teenage kids keep her very busy. She loves Oceola Township and serving her residents. You will never catch her leaving her house without those straight vacuum lines.

Christine Andrews

Township Treasurer
treasurer@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext. 230

Christine has been a resident of Livingston County since 2004 and purchased her home in Oceola Township in 2016. She resides here with her husband Jake, her four young children, her father, and her two goldendoodles. She’s a connoisseur of tacos and chicken wings, loves Starbucks and Target, and enjoys traveling with her chaos-filled family. She’s convinced that the perfect time of year is fall when it’s shorts-and-a-sweatshirt weather and the best time to snuggle up and binge watch on Netflix. She loves her job but when she’s not at the township taking tax payments or dealing with finances, you can find her singing her own backup at “90’s Hits” karaoke night.

trusteehenshaw@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext. 223

Currently he is Secretary of the Genoa-Oceola Water and Sewer Authority (G-O) and Secretary of the Marion Howell Oceola Genoa Sewer and Water Authority (MHOG). His spare time is spent on his farm where he and his wife raise flowers, vegetables, fruit, nuts, and fish.

Kieth Huff

Board Trustee & Cemetery Sexton
trusteehuff@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259

Kieth has been a resident of Oceola Township his entire life. He resides here with his wife that he has two children with, and he has four grandchildren. He’s a farmer and loves being outside, whether it’s tending to his land, raising animals, or teaching his grandchildren about the great outdoors. You’ll never catch him with his shoes on, but that’s because he’s a hard worker and his boots are always dirty. According to Kieth, there is nothing better than a home cooked meal, a big belt buckle, and a retro windbreaker from the 1980’s. He takes pride in his work and his job here serving the township, as he’s been a trustee since 1996.

Terrance Philibeck

Trustee
trusteephilibeck@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 294-4511

Terry was born in Wisconsin and raised on a farm in Northern Michigan, but that doesn’t make him a cheesehead. He is a Detroit Lions and Michigan State University fan, through and through. He worked in the Michigan Department of Agriculture, specifically in the Food and Dairy Division, for 27 years before retiring and finding his way onto the Township Board. He lives in Oceola with his wife, Katie, and they have 2 children, and 3 grandchildren. Terry loves hiking, golfing, walks, and summer. His bucket list wish is to be on The Amazing Race or Survivor. When he has some free time, you’ll find him catching the latest MSU game, be it basketball, football, or hockey. Fun fact: Terry and Katie have hosted 23 international exchange students since 2005!

Township Staff

Natalie Bruce

Deputy Clerk
nbruce@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext. 222

Natalie and her husband, Chris, have lived in Howell Township since 2013. They reside there with their four children and their pets; a dog, a cat, and a cute little leopard gecko. They enjoy spending time together being active outside, camping, boating, and snowmobiling. She has worked in elections since 2020 but made her debut in the Clerk’s Department as a permanent member of the Oceola Township staff in 2022. She then became the Deputy Clerk in 2023. Natalie lives for her family (even if that means never enjoying a hot cup of coffee), and she loves adventure. But she’ll never say no to a good take-out order and a night filled with binge watching comedy specials on Netflix!

Sarah Thornton

Deputy Treasurer
deptreasurer@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext. 232

Sarah has been working for Oceola Township as the Deputy Treasurer since September of 2020. While she is a rule-follower at heart, which serves us well in the office, she moves to the beat of her own drum. She’d be hard pressed to pass up ice cream on a cold winter walk or the chance to do a cartwheel in the park. Outside of the office, Sarah works as a licensed massage therapist and a certified yoga teacher. She loves to spend time outside with her husband and daughter, traveling, hiking, and camping. Ask Sarah her favorite feeling and she’ll tell you it’s sipping hot coffee by the morning fire before taking off for a hike on a crisp fall day. You can count on Sarah to greet you with a smile when you come see her to pay your property taxes.

Sherry Mixter

Receptionist
smixter@oceolatwp.org
Phone: (517) 546-3259, ext. 221

Sherry has been the face of the township front desk for the past 12 years. Prior to that, she served on the Planning Commission for 10 years and has always played an active role within the Township. She’s been married to her husband, Steve, for 40 years and they’ve called Oceola township home for the past 34 years. Together they share four children: two live in Michigan, one in Washington, and the other in Massachusetts. Like her children, she has a love for travel and adventure. She’s found a new love in life; being a Grandma. Sherry is the office queen of baking and can whip up a mean breakfast casserole in 20 minutes flat. She loves gardening, being outside, and the occasional girls night out with her friends!
