Licensing your dogs:
Michigan State Law requires that all dogs over four (4) months old be licensed.
To obtain a dog license, you will need to provide proof of current rabies vaccination and proof of spaying/neutering (if applicable) at the time you purchase the license. By State Statute, this information must be provided EVERY time you renew your dog license.
All dogs in the Township must be licensed below are the fees and requirements.
Proof of Rabies certificates are required.

Exceptions:
- New Resident – Thirty (30) days from move-in date without penalty
- New Dog – Within thirty (30) days of obtaining animal without penalty
- Puppy – Under one (1) year old - $7.00
License Expirations:
Dog Licenses now expire when the rabies vaccination expires. The 2010 dog license expiration extends to the MONTH of the current rabies vaccination date.
The County Treasurer's office will send reminder postcards 60 days prior to the rabies expiration date. Check your rabies expiration date to see if you need to set up an appointment with your veterinarian. Rabies vaccinations can be administered by your vet, any day of the month that the vaccination expires.

Your next license MUST be purchased by the end of the RABIES EXPIRATION MONTH or a $15 late fee will be added to the cost of your dog license.
Thompson Lake Park Stickers:
Oceola Township Participates in the Howell Area Recreation Authority and pays for the residents of the township to receive two (2) Free Park/Boat launch stickers per season. If the resident requests additonal stickers the following fee will be required by the township and paid to the Recreation Authority. The Park stickers are available to be picked up at the Bennett Recreation Center, 925 W. Grand River Ave., Howell MI.
Each addtional park pass will cost..........................................................................$15.00
HALL RENTAL
Oceola Township residents may rent the meeting hall for personal use as long as they meet the requirements and pay the required fees. Please call the Town Hall during regular business hours and speak to the receptionist if you have an interest in renting the hall.
